Typically, mergers are filled with fear and failure. Ours certainly had those elements at the beginning but I believe it is being rapidly replaced with optimism and enthusiasm. You and I share a common bond. We both understand the character development value of the Scout program. I have recently agreed to serve as the Scout Executive (CEO) for the Boston Minuteman Council. I take that position very seriously and understand that one of my most critical roles is to be accessible to the thousands of volunteers who give of themselves week in and week out to strengthen Scouting in their community.
